College of Charleston/Blackbaud Leadership Training: Coach Registration

The College of Charleston, in partnership with Blackbaud, Inc. is offering an excellent opportunity for local professionals to discuss challenging management situations and “difficult conversations,” and receive one-on-one feedback from Blackbaud executives regarding soft skills and management style.

The day's schedule will consist of round table discussions, followed by individual feedback, and a full group case debrief facilitated by Blackbaud’s Director of Leadership Development, Elayne Sheridan, who has facilitated similar programs for corporate and government clients of Harvard Business Publishing.

This event is intended for new managers, those who oversee new managers, or anyone who struggles with giving constructive feedback.

Learning objectives include:

  • Typical misconceptions of new managers
  • Perils of relying too much on past strengths
  • Recognizing the nuances of a management environment
  • Managing upward
  • Using and building a network within a new management role
  • Creating a unified team
  • Giving difficult feedback

Participants will have the opportunity to review an interesting and engaging case study prior to the event.

Program cost of $60 includes:

  • Full day of management development, including one-on-one coaching sessions with personal mentor
