Satellites help provide the TV we watch, weather maps for our daily forecasts, navigation for planes, ships, and cars, and more. This class will look at their many uses, discuss their design, how they launch, how they are tracked how they maintain their orbits. Discussion will include issues such as orbital debris and collision avoidance. (No classes during Week 4).
