Roundtable Leadership Training: Coachee Registration

The College of Charleston, in partnership with Blackbaud, Inc. is offering an excellent opportunity for local professionals to discuss challenging management situations and “difficult conversations,” and receive one-on-one feedback from Blackbaud executives regarding soft skills and management style.
 
The day's schedule will consist of round table discussions, followed by individual feedback, and a full group case debrief facilitated by Blackbaud’s Director of Leadership Development, Elayne Sheridan, who has facilitated similar programs for corporate and government clients of Harvard Business Publishing.

This event is intended for new managers, those who oversee new managers, or anyone who struggles with giving constructive feedback.

Learning objectives include:

Typical misconceptions of new managers
Perils of relying too much on past strengths
Recognizing the nuances of a management environment
Managing upward
Using and building a network within a new management role
Creating a unified team
Giving difficult feedback
 
Participants who are To be Coached should be new managers, those who oversee new managers, or anyone who struggles with giving constructive feedback.

Coaching participation is open to senior-level people managers, who wish to hone their coaching strategy and mentoring skills. Interested parties should contact Alice Hamilton, with the subject line "Roundtable". The registration fee is $75.00.

  • Full day of practicing coaching techniques, including two one-on-one sessions coaching an assigned manager-level participant
